HYDRAULIC 3R SERVICES (RESEALING, REPAIR AND REFURBISHMENT)
We can evaluate any hydraulic component and offer a solution to fit your schedule and budget. We provide 3R services in RESEALING, REPAIR AND REFURBISHMENT for hydraulic components. Other services such as on-site training, commissioning and calibration with 3rd party witness is available upon request.
Regular RESEALING of cylinders are good preventive measure before a major failure. Inspections which reveal abnormalities prohibit a simple hone and reseal hence require REPAIR. REFURBISHMENT services include machining of any cylinder component that will meet or exceed OEM specifications.
HYDRAULIC 3R SERVICES (RESEAL, REPAIR AND REFURBISH)
Hydraulic Cylinder Reseal
Resealing a cylinder before a major failure is oftentimes a wise investment. Repair indicators such as leaks and drift can be clues that it may be time to consider resealing as an option. Leaks are a potential ingress point for contaminants and also cause loss of fluid. In addition, a leak can allow air to enter a system. Drifting is another signal or potential issues and a proper reseal can produce measurable performance gains.
Hydraulic Cylinder Repair
In some instances, our thorough cylinder inspection process will reveal abnormalities that prohibit a simple hone and reseal. We will develop a repair plan to suit your needs. Many times, we can repair a component for a fraction of the cost of a new. In addition we can also repair or manufacture virtually any cylinder component from scratch including barrels, rods, pistons and other attachments that meet or exceed OEM specifications.
Hydraulic Cylinder Refurbish
Whether you have a specific need for custom cylinder or if just seeking an alternate source for hydraulic cylinders. Tools Depot can help by refurbishing and test virtually the complete system. Our salvage parts recycling and retooling work or manufactured parts can bring your parts to OEM specs. Even completely rusted out and worn parts can be rebuilt.
SUMMARY
We adhere to stringent reseal process that will restore your hydraulic cylinder to OEM specifications for like new performance. Our service engineers and technicians use the proper technology, tooling and equipment to ensure a sustainable repair every time. Here are a few components of our services.
- Every cylinder is received in our wash bay and thoroughly cleaned of all external contaminants.
- Cylinders will then be disassembling using non-destructive methods to preserve the integrity of the cylinder.
- All internal and external parts are cleaned to meet our stringent contamination control standards.
- A details inspection of all cylinder components is performed and documented.
- Barrel are measured and inspected for size, roundness, straightness and significant bore damage.
- Rods are inspected for size, roundness, straightness and chrome condition and thickness.
- Pistons, heads and glands are scrutinized to ensure a proper fit for seals and rings.
- All components must meet or exceed Tools Depot or OEM standards.
- Prior to final assembly we hone the barrel, polish the chrome rod and remove all burrs.
- All components are then washed super clean to meet our contamination control standards
- Once final assembly is complete, the cylinder is tested and painted before returned to service.
HYDRAULIC PUMPS
When repair indicators are present, changing of seals/parts or rebuilding a hydraulic pump is an economical option, which restores the hydraulic system to optimum performance.
Repair includes:
- Disassembly and inspection of failed parts
- Evaluation of repair cost
- Firm repair quote
- Repair vs. new cost of replacement
- Reseal / Repair
- Performance of repaired pump/motor
Repair indicators:
- Scheduled custom hydraulic service inspection
- Oil leak
- Pump not producing required output
- Motor not producing required output torque/speed
- S-O-S report indicates high level of metallic particles in oil
- Excessive noise, heat or vibration
HYDRAULIC ACCESSORIES
We usually assess how many components must be removed to facilitate replacing the damaged hose or fittings.
We will label the component removed by number and letter so replacement of parts can be re-installed with ease. This may include housings, guards, clamps, other hoses, hydraulic cylinders, and more. Follow the hose from one end to the other, noting the route you will use to uninstall and re-install it. Putting a number and letter on the ports and hose end. It is usually recommended to replace all these low value components iregardless of condition to avoid unecessary downtime in the event of leakages on site.
